Terms of Service

Welcome to Room Pocket. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Our Role as a Platform

Room Pocket acts solely as an intermediary technology platform connecting Guests with independent Property Hosts for hourly, nightly, and monthly stay bookings. We strictly operate as a property listing and stay reservation service, and explicitly do not provide flatmate matching or long-term residential leasing services. While we enforce strict quality standards, the ultimate responsibility for the condition of the room and the guest experience lies with the individual Host.

2. Payments & Booking Fees

To instantly secure a reservation, Guests are required to pay a 10% Advance Deposit via our secure online payment gateway. The remaining 90% balance must be paid directly to the Host in cash or via UPI upon arrival.

• The 10% advance deposit serves as Room Pocket's platform booking fee. This deposit is refundable only if the guest cancels within the allowed timeframe (48 hours for standard stays, 12 hours for transit stays) prior to check-in. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in the forfeiture of this deposit.
• Room Pocket operates on a strict zero-commission model for our Hosts. Hosts receive 100% of the 90% balance collected directly at the property.

3. Document Verification (KYC)

To maintain a highly secure community across all our operational regions, starting with our primary markets like Vrindavan, Room Pocket requires mandatory document verification. Both Hosts and Guests must undergo Identity Verification (KYC) by uploading a valid government-issued ID. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or fail to complete the verification process.

4. Host & Guest Conduct

• Hosts: Must honor all confirmed bookings, maintain accurate calendars, and ensure their properties match the photos and amenities listed. Failing to honor a confirmed booking will result in platform removal.
• Guests: Must arrive within the expected timeframe, provide the secure 4-digit Check-In PIN to the host, pay the remaining balance upon arrival, and respect the property's house rules.

5. Limitation of Liability

Room Pocket shall not be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the platform, your stay at a property, or interactions between Guests and Hosts.
